I have a few of these in 1′, but I got the 6″ too this year. They’re incredibly helpful for my outdoor Christmas lights b/c the outdoor socket has a surrounding case with a raised border for water prevention, but the extension cord for the lights has a prong/cord angle of 90 degrees. So, I need a cord that plugs straight into the outdoor socket without the length of an extension cord. This little cord is exactly what I needed.

Just what I needed
Power Extension Cord 5FT/60Inch, 3 Prong Grounded Electric Extension Cable Outlet Saver, Single Outlet, Heavy Duty, Waterproof, Flexible, 16AWG, SJTW, 13A 125V, Outdoor and Indoor Power Wire(Black) This is a very solid extension that feels robust and well made. I needed some extra chord for my monitor as I have an electric standing desk. I needed more slack for raising and lowering the desk, and this is the perfect solution. not so much chord that it’s coiled all over the floor, but just enough to get the desk at whatever height I need it at. The chord feels heavy duty, but is not a crazy thick gage. I didn’t need it super heavy duty as it is only extending the power for one monitor. The chord works perfectly, and I am grateful to have it. It was the exact solution I needed. If you need a solid chord a bit on the short side this is a great one to take a look at.

Perfect length and heavy duty
The two most important features of an extension cord are its length and how safe/sturdy it is for the use. I’m happy to say that the 3′ version of this is perfect on both counts. Gets power from point A to point B.

Perfect extender!
This short extension cord is perfect to use with our TV power cord that doesn’t quite reach the outlet. The cord and plug connectors feel high quality and solid, not cheap or flimsy. Truly a plug-n-play item. And it is silly, but I also love the green accents on the port side (not visible when something is plugged into it). If you just need a tiny bit extra length for a three-prong cord, this extension cord is the perfect choice!

Right Length Extension Cord
What is great about this particular extension cord is that it is available in 10 different lengths enabling you to choose the specific cord you need. It is UL Listed and rated for both indoor and outdoor use. It has a nice appearance with the green outline of the slots on the receptacle side of the cord. I needed this exact length to reach the UPS in my office. I am happy I chose this and you would be too. However, I would not personally call this a “Heavy Duty” extension cord, as it is 16 AWG and is rated for 13Amp, 125V-300V (MAX). To me, a Heavy Duty extension cord is 12 AWG and rated for 15Amps/125Volts/1875Watts.
