All of our cast iron has been Lodge brand. We decided to give this one a try because the weight was a few pounds less than the Lodge brand. We used it daily for our last trip. Both in the camp fire and on the stove. I made chili, a whole chicken, stew, and the camp bread turned out fantastic! Perfect size and excellent heat distribution.The lid made for a great frying pan and worked well with coals on top as an oven. Very pleased with this purchase.

My “Go To” Cooking Pot
I ordered this to use on the grill to cook vegetables while I’m grilling. This is a GREAT piece of kitchenware. My wife gave me a hard time about the purchase, but I didn’t buy it for her! I LOVE it!Recommended purchase for those who love grilling and cooking squash or other vegetables on the grill. Beans work well in it and I think soup would too.
