works well and looks great in real life
I’ve only had this about 3 days. I bought it as an emergency inflator for my motorcycle. I have a battery powered tiny compressor but that lives inside one of my side bags and obviously the day I get a flat on the road will be a day I took off the bag for some reason.Anyway, all I can comment on is:Perceived build quality – Excellent, feels rock solid, nice texture, great feel. Inflator tube also looks very good.Appearance – Looks Great. I went with the gunmetal-ish color and it’s very attractive. Not a criteria I cared about but I thought I’d mention it for those who might care.Ease of use – Very straightforward, getting the tube out, attaching it and then attaching the end of the schroeder valve onto my bike’s tire was cake. bonus points for it letting less air out than any of my other pumps or compressors when attaching to the valvePumping performance – For it’s size it’s phenomenal. About 100 pumps to go up 0.5 psi on my motorcycle tire once I had it up to 35 with the compressor. If you are buying this for a bicycle I think you will be very pleased. For a motorcycle if you had a full on flat you should expect to pump it probably north of 1,000 times to get to pressure (much less to get it to road-worthyness to then ride to a gas station to get it to pressure) but understand that this is a last resort type scenario and I’m prefectly satisfied with performance.Durability – hard to say but I will say that the fact that the tube lives INSIDE the pump is a fantastic design feature which should substantially increase lifespan for that portion of the pump. The only thing I will say is that in retrospect I wish I’d bought the version of the pump that doesn’t have a built in “pressure gauge.” The pump is so great at not losing air when you attach it/detach it that there is little to no benefit to that very crude indicator and I suspect that the day this pump fails it will fail at one of the joints on the hose… the no-pressure indicator hose version would have half the failure points.

Compact Motorcycle tire pressure life saver
I am an avid Motorcycle rider and ride a 2008 BMW R1200GS Adventure. After many adventure rides across a wide array of different dual sport bikes I have learned that tire pressure is very important. On the BMW it is now standing out as THE most important… literally you can have gas in the tank but it aint worth didly squat if the bike is lying on its side in the sand or gravel because of TOO MUCH tire pressure. My point!… You need proper, (HI 32-38 psi) tire pressure to ride our beautiful highways. Yet you only want 15-20 psi for heavy sand or gravel. Adventure riding means changing your tire pressure if you want your limbs intact… This tool so far is as close to perfection as I have found… The compact nature, high quality materials and thoughtful engineering into offering a somewhat useful air pressure gauge, (more on this later) make this a must have for any motorcycle pouch.Concerns. First of all the unit worked flawlessly and made getting to the air valve very easy, all without letting a single iota of air escape in the process. The flexible tube took all of the abuse that normally your valve stem would take… AND THAT’S GOOD! I have had valve stems all the sudden start to leak or crack because of the repeated abuse of clamping type pumps. My concern is how much abuse the constant flexing of the hose in this unit can take….. But let me make clear if I get a year out of this device and the flexible hose was to let go, (it shows no signs that it would) I count this as a big win because of it’s ease of use and lack of harm to my wheels valve stem. The pressure gauge is very simple and will take a good eye to discern small gradations, (and they would still be a guess) as the units are marked as 0-20-40… and I imagine all the way up to 120 in the same 20 psi increments. For this past weekend I was happy to just set the pressure for sub 20 psi and know that there was still air in the tire, and then pump it to sub 40 for street riding.BTW my riding buddies were very impressed with its quality and features…Oh the BMW on its side… That’s what happens when there is to much pressure in the tires. And if you haven’t dropped your Dual Sport bike you aren’t riding it in the right places..

Functional but requires some adjusting!!
The mini pump is just that, a mini pump. It is NOT intended to be a replacement for your regular floor pump. It’s purpose is to get your tire inflated with enough pressure so that you’re not walking. If you follow the instructions to the letter the pump will not work on a Presta valve. What I had to do was attach it to the valve just enough for the threads to hold it, NOT ALL THE WAY. If you thread it all the way the valve will close and it will feel like when your pump is not attached properly and the air won’t get into the tube. The pressure gauge is to be used more as a general guide although it is accurate. I preferred to use the old “squeeze the tire method”. It has a larger diameter cylinder than most mini pumps out there and that will get more air and pressure volume into the tube quicker. Haven’t had opportunity to use it in the field yet but I did test it at my home and compared the displayed pressure to actual pressure with my floor pump (Serfas FP-200) which I’ve had now for almost ten years. At the mini pump’s 80 PSI my floor pump also showed 80 PSI. The mini pump fits nicely in the middle pocket of my jersey so I did not use the bottle cage mount. Overall good construction and a solid feel, unlike the other mini pumps out there which feel like they’ll fall apart after two pumps. So, four stars and not five because the instructions do not warn you about threading the pump hose all the way into the Presta valve. Also four stars because I ordered the black one and got the titanium colored one!! LOL!!

Muy buena bomba, funciona como deberÃa. El agregado del manómetro se agradece mucho, junto con la compatibilidad entre presta y Schrader. Se sujeta al cuadro de manera firme, no estorba y no tiene juego para nada.

A really well designed and compact pum. The pull out connector means you put less pressure on the valve. Plenty of pressure and a comfortable grip.
