Easy to perform but…
I know I have genetics that lean toward sensitivity to gluten and I have had the standard tTG-IgA (tissue transglutaminase antibody test) which was negative but this test is looking for gliadin antibodies which were not tested by my doctor and should have been. I tested negative on this at home test but I don’t have a standard lab test to compare this with. Perhaps the next step is to do that. I do feel better off gluten but it brings me such joy I don’t want to eliminate it unless it’s clinically necessary. You have to be eating gluten to produce the antibodies this test is looking for so if you’re already on a gluten free diet, this test won’t work for you unless you start to eat some gluten. The test came with good instructions and was easy to do. All the items needed to complete the test were provided.

Very easy test & fast answer
Fast easy This test is for presence of antibodies that you will have if currently NOT RESTRICTING GLUTENSo I ate all the things I was suspect of over several days before the test. My Result was negative- despite how terrible I feel -tired and mucky inside like I’m digesting quicksand nauseous agh…. Definitely need colonoscopy and immunology tests. This was just something for my own research to determine if I was going to start clearing the house of gluten forever. AND go the route of absolutely strict gluten free dietary changes. This test saved me a lot of wasted food and effort on that level. Also allowed me to continue analyzing my situation more deeply while I wait for appointments.Thank you for that. I still feel limiting gluten has helped me feel better, so I will continue without taking it to the extreme I would have had I been positive. Guess I’ll have to wait & do more Journaling to figure out what IS causing my issues. I feel this test is accurate for the antibodies tested – there may be other factors involved with gluten intolerance so I will not write this off completely .. It does help know that I was not positive for the most common antibodies linked to this condition. It is very useful to be armed with this result and discuss with my doctor. If the result had been Positive you can take action .. begin to make decisions to feel better. Testing Negative I think requires not dismissal but at least a look at other possible conditions, other autoimmune issues , allergies or other intolerances perhaps. This test and other like it ..can provide knowledge and help you initiate the effort to act maybe sooner than you otherwise would ( or even make you Dr more willing to listen) I find this test very useful for “being my own advocate” & believe it will help direct future appointments & further testing.

Not accurate at all
My son who had a recent Celiac lab test with a very high positive (250 when it should be less than 20!) got a negative result in this test. He has been verified Celiac through endoscopy as well. I just wanted to see if I could trust this test because itâs fast and easy. Sadly no!

Unsure
First, this test kit is very well designed and made. You get everything you need in the only little box. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. As far as the accuracy, I have no idea. I have noticed that sometimes when I eat breads or pastries I start feeling just awful. So I wondered if I had a sensitivity to gluten. Thought id take the test and see. It came back negative but I have lingering doubts. So I had to give this a middle of the road rating because I canât speak to its accuracy.

Unsure
Not sure how accurate this is. Testing was pretty simply and straight forward. I wake up with a flat stomach and by the end of the day Iâll look 8 months pregnant. Iâll soon be getting tested through professionals but wanted to see if I can get some clarity now but it came out negative. I will update this review for others once I get tested from my doctor. Sort of feel like I wasted 20 bucks because I donât see one review that says positive.

Nice home test option.
Well, this was good to have for a little bit of peace of mind because I have family members that are diagnosed with celiac disease and after showing symptoms and hating going to the doctors offices, this seemed like an easy fix however, there’s a couple things, it says for research use only, it says 98% accurate. There were two issues I had with the product because you have to twist the cap off of the lancet and if you don’t do it properly, the orange stick part remains so it is a good thing that they included two, you can see in my photo the one that didn’t twist off correctly. Also definitely have a finger bandage present because the pipette did not work for me so I had to milk my finger. They do cover all the instructions on how to do both methods in the printed directions so that is good. I would definitely recommend writing down what the test was checking for and taking a good picture of it if it is positive to be able to show to your MD’s staff.

Mixed feelings.
So I’m not sure how to feel about this. I rated it five stars because it’s easy to use and interpret the results. That said, my husband was diagnosed with Celiac disease about 6 months ago and when I saw this, I was curious. He did not exhibit any Celiac symptoms prior to diagnosis so it came as quite a surprise to us. Even now after cutting gluten from his diet for about 6 months, the only change he has seen is a decrease in heartburn. The results of this test were that he DOES NOT have gluten sensitivity. I wondered if that was because he is not consuming gluten therefore not producing the antibodies being tested for but after learning more, a person with Celiac takes significantly longer to clear the antibodies from their system. So, was he misdiagnosed or was this test incorrect? We do plan on discussing it with his doctor at his next appointment.
