Works in so many ways!
I got this device for three reasons:(1) to help my Dadâs âdementiaâ,(2) to see if it could help my Momâs macular degeneration and(3) to help my arthritis pain in my hands. It seems to help with all three. Plus, has the added benefit of improving circulation and condition of skin on my face and neck.Since people will want to know specifics on how we use it:(1) For cognitive improvement, wear goggles and put on top of head for 10 minutes (we put right onto hair) and then 5-10 minutes aimed at forehead from 6-10 inches away. We do this in the morning, because evening use woke up the brain too much and couldnât go to sleep for hours. But in the morning allowed quicker, calmer awakening, more cheerful, sharper thinking and energy. After using for a week, became drowsy around 9pm and slept more soundly for 7-8 hours. Scientific studies on PubMed.gov document this use for improvement in Alzheimerâs due to light penetrating through the skull to the frontal lobe and reducing inflammation and improving mitochondrial function. Would be even more effective with oral intake of methylene blue, but my Dad isnât able to do that. Everyday red light use isnât a problem.(2) For macular degeneration, Jeffriesâ paper from the UK showed using red light for 2-3 minutes in the morning (they specified treating between 8am – 9am) demonstrated significant improvement in low-light contrast vision and color perception (for people 40+ years old). They use special lasers on the eye. Being more conservative, Iâve kept my eyes closed, removed the goggles and held the light a minimum of 12 inches from my face for 2 minutes/day. It feels similar to laying on the beach in the sun. Iâve noticed light seems brighter now and Iâve been better able to drive in twilight with greater visibility now. My mom has just started trying red light now.(3) I initially tried using red light only on my arthritic hands without much success. I did some more research and better overall results are related to treating more of your skin / body with the red light, in addition to spot treating the hands. Mark Sloan recommended shining the light on chest + abdomen from 12 inches away for 10-20minutes per day, then spot treatment of hands for 10+ minutes, day. (You can see that this can get time-consuming with moving the little box of light around your body versus a larger red light panel that can treat whole body at once.). I treat abdomen in the morning, then my hands in the evening while watching TV ⦠you can just lay the device face down on you hands resting on your legs so the light doesnât shine in anyoneâs eyes. Stopped all my arthritic pain without need for anti-inflammatories! My hope is that with the red light penetrating 3 inches into my body (all the way through my fingers) it will improve mitochondrial function to where further injury due to arthritis is reduced or stopped. Wouldnât that be great?!

Works great
Price is right and works well. Has hanging option but not really necessary as you can simply place it on something and size coverage is substantial also

Itâs a win!
I had this device for enough time to write an honest review. After much back and forth with different professionals I decided to try red light therapy because at the end of the day the pros outweighed the cons in comparison to the cvs receipt size list of medications I was taking. Years and years of dancing and weightlifting and one back surgery later Iâm still left with a lot of hip and joint pain as well as being arthritic in most areas. I found that this light helped out a lot better than I thought! Itâs a great size for super targeted areas as well as larger areas it has different options to hook onto a stand or as a stand alone. It doesnât get hot to the touch and find myself leaving the entire plate right above the spot where I had my surgery. I really love it for my ankles and hands too it really helps with mobility and pain after use. My only complaint would be that it does not have a timer function and it is corded so making sure thereâs always a plug nearby and not to forget my phone to time myself is important. Definitely not a deal breaker though. Overall Iâm pretty happy with this product!

Great.
This is a great red light. We have it hung above our shower and use it daily.

Idk
I feel like a French Fry waiting at McDonaldâs to be scooped up and served in a little bag. For some reason it improves my mood and helps me focus more when I meditate.

Very easy to use and very effective
I actually bought 2 of these, I got the first one and was able to feel relief within days not weeks. I have a very week ankle due to poor athletic technique when I was in my youth. as a result it has been a constant source of pain. I got this panel and set it up in the bathroom on the floor, I have it right in front of my ankle, ( it does have a hook that allows it to be hung from a cabinet drawer, or you can just stand it on the side.) I can get really close to the light for about 10 to 20minutes in the morning, and I am good all day on my ankle. I bought a second one for shoulder issues. All the books on RLT that I read said it is not used for sleep issues but I will tell you. if I use the panels in the evening on my ankle and shoulder, I sleep really deep. That has been my experience anyway. I have not had any negative skin reactions to the use of this panel, in fact, my skin has never looked better.I did my research on RLT( red light Therapy), and this panel met all the intensity numbers I was wanting and I got it at a great price. ( so I bought 2). I can easily see how this would make a great gift for anybody with joint pain even if it is just that small nagging pain to a larger joint pain. this has high enough nm numbers to get deep tissue.

Disappointed.
I haven’t been using it long enough to say much about its effectiveness for pain or other potential medical effects. I do want to say a few words about its quality, however.First, the pros: The lights are plenty bright. Sitting it a couple feet from the bed will cover your entire body. If the NRI lights are as strong as the red lights, then it should be sufficient for medicinal use. Also, the goggles that came with it fit well and function as they should. The cons: I am disappointed, though, in the cheap plastic used in this thing. It is very lightweight and tips over very easily unless you hook it to the wall. I am concerned I am going to break it quickly. Secondly, it did not come with any kind of remote control and the on/off switch on the cord is not in a convenient place to reach it without getting back up while the light is still on and navigating your room to get to the plug. Really a hassle, that. I thought it came with a remote or I would not have bought it. That is my chief complaint.Overall, for $50, I expected a little more. I think it could be made and designed a little better to not tip and it should definitely come with a remote.
