Does what it says
Pretty typical surge protector for your refrigerator. I really like the feature that it delays turning on your fridge after a short delay, which helps during storms which you can see flickering of the power. Protects your appliances to make sure they last longer. Felt high quality and added a couple other protected outlets which I used to connect my under cabinet lighting. Easy to use and good.

Like that its a surge protector
I like having a surge protector and that it tells if the voltage varies, I think that is very important now a days with the new refrigerators becoming so complex and expensive. I don’t have one that texts me for what ever reason, but I saw a commercial for one that did. I don’t know if it really works but I keep one on my computer and I have two for my home theater system, and all 3 were much more expensive than this one.I like the fact you can set a delay of 3,5, or 10 minutes for it to come back on after a voltage fluctuation. I live in Florida, and we are the no.1 state for lightning in the US, and have seen the electric go on and off a couple of times in a 5 minute span, and I don’t think that is good for electronics.I think this is good to have, and was easy to install. Hopefully, it keeps doing its job for years to come and I never find out it works.

surge seems good
Very short connecting cord. will need an extension cord to sue.

Definitely worth getting. Power on delay is a must.
We live out in the country now, so power grid stability is a problem. I hired a local solar company to give me whole home battery backup and the Sol-Ark inverters they used are worse than the power company! Thus, I’m having to put protection on all my appliances and air conditioners.I tested two of these against another cheaper brand and the other failed miserably. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the orange and yellow stickered version of these from the same vendor is $5! (Yellow is more expensive right now). These default to a 3 minute timeout after power is applied before they apply power to your appliance. There’s a button to bypass that, although I couldn’t get it to work in my tests. The setting can be changed to 5 or 10 minutes, but 3 should be enough for most appliances. The main point here is to protect a refrigerator from having power re-applied to a stalled compressor that’s still under load from running. You want to leave it off long enough for the pressure the equalize in the system so that the compressor can restart easily. I MIGHT increase to five minutes, but we’ll see. That said, my nice new smart refrigerator should already have a safety circuit like this in it so that it doesn’t start the compressor again, but I doubt my freezers do.As far as the over/under voltage, I couldn’t test the over voltage condition, but the unit worked reliably when the power dipped below 90V or so, shutting off the power and playing the alarm tone, then taking three minutes to turn the load back on when power is restored. As far as surge protection, you kind of have to take it at face value, unless you happen to have access to a surge and burst tester! The short cord is a bit challenging for installation, but a longer cord would just add more loss and really isn’t necessary. It’s not like you really need this where you can see it. It does have some status LEDs, so it might be nice to see, but it’s not exactly decorative!Overall, I would say this is a reasonable investment to protect your expensive refrigerator and other appliances. I may have to get another one or two.

Great surge protection
My only complaint would be that this one does not come with a flat plug. The surge protector takes almost that much space but a flat plug would be better. This company does make one with one less outlet that has a flat plug. For me, I’m using this on a freezer in the basement. The plug isn’t behind anything. The benefit of this over a normal surge protector is that it will cut power to the fridge if the voltage is out of range, but it will buzz to get your attention. The indicator lights will tell the rest of the story. It will also recheck the power after a few minutes. If all is well it will turn power back on to the fridge and stop buzzing. It’s worth having on an expensive refrigerator. It seems very solid and well built.

We Lost a Fridge That was Only a few Years Old – This Would Probably have Saved it
I don’t know how long these devices have been around but they are a great idea and really worth the money to protect one of your most important appliances. Our previous fridge was only a few years old when it was damaged due to fluctuating voltages during a storm. A blown compressor may mean the end for your fridge, like it was for ours – especially if it’s out of warranty. This looks like a well made unit that could be used for up to three devices. For me it’s peace of mind.

Works well, love the mounting points
This is much better than the surge protector I had before that plugged into the wall and took up the entire wall socket. I was able to mount this next to the fridge, off the ground. I love that this unit has sturdy mounting points. So far, it hasn’t been tested by a power outage, but I assume it’ll work. Highly recommended.
