Just received my 2nd 4000. Great real
I have nothing bad to say about this reel. Got my 1st one this summer. I do most of my fishing on head boats or charters, this real has been used weekly for fluke fishing. No, no âdoormatsâ but handled 4/5 pounders with ease, Just came back from a Tog trip and was thrilled with this reals capabilities . Unfortunately I used this one for jigging, it handled 3 to 4â dogs with ease. I did switch to my baited setup (Penn Battle 4000) and joined the â double digit clubâ. Iâm certain that this reel handled much better than the Penn. This and the original purchase were packaged perfectly. This is also replacing a Fierce 4000.Itâs smoothness , sound & reliability is tough to beat in its class

Good product, but!!
Well Runcl is a good brand. I like their reels and braided line. My problem is they need to add protection in the package so the item doesn’t get delivered mashup. Next issue is the fricking handle for a 6000 series this should come with a power knob. It’s def ganna be a issue if you got big hands or fighting a fish for a long time. Yep your fingers ganna be in a world of pain especially if you do my style of fishing. Just some updates I think the company needs to make, but all in all it’s a good reel very strong and hold up to saltwater ð£.

WHAT A DRAG!!
I have had this reel for a bit over 6 weeks. I have been on the water 5-6 times with it and feel qualified to give my opinion. The reel has aluminium frame, and spool, yet is lightweight. I am impressed a great deal with this reel. The fit and function is right on. The finish is great! The cutaway rotor is unique and I found that the water seals in the reel do exactly as claimed. They keep the internals protected. The handle is plastic, carbon or aluminium I can not tell, other then it is beefy and well up to the task of fighting the PIGGY BASS! I really enjoy the oversized EVA handle grip, it is extremely comfortable and allows for a good positive grip. The drag on this reel may be the best drag system on any reel. It is precise, dependable, and no jerky slip. I played with the drag setting with a Bass on and am extremely impressed. This is an outstanding value on a spinning reel in the $75-$100 class, at $53.00 it may be against the law!! Tell you what, if the TITAN had the name of LEWS, GARCIA, DAIWA, or PENN on the cover plate it would sell for $100 easy. RUNCL truly has a great product here that is affordable for the working man. (gals as well). Give this reel a spin you will not be disappointed.

Great spinning reel
Wasn’t sure what to expect from this reel but it was on sale and I needed something in a hurry. Needless to say, I was impressed…very impressed. The reel didn’t have any wobble and the drag was fantastic. I only managed to land one flounder the other day when I went fishing but it was a breeze to bring in. It even came with a carrying bag – something which delighted me to no end as in the past I’ve been using those small bags that I had gotten from vineyard vine’s apparel purchases but they’re no longer giving out again. I’d definitely purchase again in the future. I’m also hoping that they increase their reel variety to include bigger ones as well.

Happy with my purchase
This reel is light but definitely sturdy. It is actually quite a bit lighter than I expected. I am not one that cares that much about a reel being super light. I am no wussy and a bit of weight to a reel never bothered me as long as the reel was study. This one, to my surprise, is bothâ¦not going to argue with that. The casts and retrievals are silky smooth which I assume is due to the number of bearings they loaded into this thing. Not going to complain in the least about that, either. Today I was using a RUNCL frog, which I normally would use with my baitcaster, cast a good long ways even with the evening breeze picking up.The grip on the handle is the same material as the grip on the handle of my rod so it is not likely to slip if it gets wet.Carbon fiber drag discs impressed me as did the total drag of 44lbs. Now, a drag of 44lb is probably overkill for this size of a reel, but it gives some serious versatility to this reel that I could not find in other reels I looked at. While I mainly bought it for bass and pan fish, it would allow me to throw this thing on a heavier duty pole and do some serious catfishing if I wanted toâ¦and I just might.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I uploaded a couple of pics of some late afternoon fishing I did today. I did not pull any in, though I got some great hits on that frog, but that is the fishermanâs fault, not the equipment. ð

Very nice reel
I had a spare fishing rod lying around so I bought this reel to make a set. Runcl makes some decent fishing gear at pretty good prices. It seems well made and was very easy to spool line on it. I put 150m of 6lb florocarbon line on it that I also had lying around. Packaged with the reel was a nice reel bag, it’s a velvet like material but not really velvet, but it does the job of keeping it safe while stored. The reel itself seemed pretty solidly built, no rattling noises if you shake it and the spinning was very smooth. The reverse brake works exceptionally well too, no play in the handle at all if you try to reverse it. So far, I’m glad I bought it, seems comparable to more expensive spinning reels on the market. I will update when I take it fishing this weekend with some frogs that I also purchased from the same seller. Hopefully I’ll have an opportunity to take a picture of some fish to post up.

all good minus 1 thing
ive had this reel for about a year now. i have been using it for surf casting lures in nj salt water bay and ocean. very durable, smooth and easy to clean. for the price its really not bad at all,but the only problem ive had is the bail likes to snap shut mid cast. lost several lures because of this.

Received an used, rusty and faulty reel. Another bad seller at Amazon.
