Comfortable & work great
Bought them for an obstacle course race. Didnât have a chance to break them in. Put them on at the venue & they were immediately comfortable. They held up great & kept my feed warm & relatively dry throughout. Grip worked well because of the âspikesâ belowNice looking shoe as well. I bought my regular sneaker size & they fit great.

Trail runners best friend
These type shoes are made to fit tight. Not length but around your foot. You need to tighten them down and they âlockâ your foot in nicely and after a couple weeks they conformed to my foot. They feel very comfortable after what I assume was the break-in period. I hate tying my shoes so I appreciate the system to tighten the laces. For me they could have put something better to grab when tightening as the string is small and kinda cuts into your hand when you really put pressure to get them nice and tight. What they call I believe the âgarageâ (where you tuck the extra laces) was a little tricky for me but I do have very narrow feet so may be why there was a lot of excess string. I got the hang of it however I could tie a regular pair of shoes in the time it takes me to get them completely squared away where they are not visible. Now on to their intended use: Trail running….. they perform better than any other trail running shoes Iâve ever owned and Iâve owned many…. probably too many! The tightness I mentioned really comes in handy running over uneven ground like rocks, mud, up and down steep inclines. The times each step has to be precise or disastrous consequences would follow. The tread on the bottom is large and knobby it provided amazing traction on my recent run on a 4 mile trail during the last two miles it came a drenching downpour. I was amazed at the lack of slipping, sliding. I do wish the shoes were waterproof however I understand It would be impossible on this model without making them airtight and very hot for all but winter runs. They do have the same model except for gtx that are waterproof. The added gortex makes them waterproof but would only be useful (to me) in the winter because gortex will burn your feet up in temps over 75f or so in my experience. So I think the trade off is well worth it. Also I need to mention although they arenât waterproof my feet didnât get soaked like I expected and actually stayed dry until I was close to my truck digging for my keys and I stepped in a large puddle that I didnât notice. While I was running and dodging most deep water my feet were completely dry. Overall I do have a couple things that would be nice if added or changed I canât remove a star on a product that does exactly what itâs made to do. If they last like I expect them too I think the price although high is worth it. I will be doing many runs so if anything fails or my review changes for the worse I will update immediately. I love these. On my 4th pair, so they arent the toughest, but…
These things are great. They are comfortable, light, meshy so NOT waterproof but in temperate temperatures they dry fast and breath easy. The grip is bonkers good and the flex is nice for me, also reasonably light. The quick lace system has come a long way and allows for easy tightening that you can mold to your foot with a bit of practice. However I put a lot of rough miles on em and i hike and backpack with em as well as trail run. The mesh sides and plastic side supports are a common failure point for me. Now I’ve bough 4 of em so i think i get an appropriate amount of life out of them before they start to go but just know that’s gonna go on you eventually. I have a question for all of you. THEY CHANGED THE SIDE SUPPORT MATERIAL! It looks like recycled plastic fiber…its feels like paper. I just got the new ones and am taking them out. Can anybody tell me how this new material holds up? Prefferably in my return window?

This is by far the best shoe I have ever worn! Hands down.. looks and feels great. I support is perfect all the way around the foot. I know they are durable because I have one pair of the same brand. Worth ever dollar

Comfort with great traction
These shoes are great!!I play menâs competitive softball. Every set of cleatâs Iâve purchased have hurt my feet.Turf cleats feel good but donât work well on dirt. Luckily I found these Salomon menâs Speedcross 5 trail running shoes. These shoes are flexible, soft, lightweight, great arch support and best of all they have the best traction.Iâm very happy with these and I will be purchasing these again.

A totally different running shoe than any I had before. Excellent experience: Snug, perfect grip, ultra light. Shoes are obviously very personal, but for me these are incomparably superior to my top of the line Asics running I had over the last years.

Hab die Schuhe zum gelegentlichen Wandern auf rutschigem Grund gekauft und dafür sind sie super.Passform ist bei mir toll, der Grip mit den Stollen super (natürlich nur im Gelände, auf StraÃe eher ungünstig).Selbst FuÃball kann man hilfsweise mit den Schuhe spielen.Rundum ein guter Schuh, der beim Auspacken auch nicht übermäÃig nach Chemie gerochen hat.
