The Sawyer filter effectively removes contaminants, ensuring that the water you drink is safe and clean. Itâs incredibly easy to use, and its compact design makes it perfect for backpacking, hiking, or emergency preparedness. The flow rate is impressive, and the filterâs durability means it will provide reliable service for a long time. What sets Sawyer apart is its commitment to giving back. The companyâs dedication to providing clean drinking water to communities in third-world countries is truly commendable. Knowing that my purchase contributes to such a meaningful cause adds an extra layer of satisfaction to owning this product. In summary, the Sawyer water filter is an exceptional choice for anyone seeking a high-quality, reliable water filtration solution. Packs small, great flow
I bought this filtration system for my inaugural backcountry backpacking trip. It packs small, is very light, and is very easy to use. Simply fill the included bag from the water source, attach to the filter and squeeze. Waterflow is very rapid, though the rigidity of the supplied bags makes filling them a bit cumbersome. A number of reviewers have noted that they are prone to damage as well. Based on my experience, I intend to purchase a Cnoc Outdoors 2020 VECTO 3L Water Container before my next trip as it is much easier to fill from the water source and is more durable. The Sawyer Squeeze can also be used in coordination with a water bladder such as a Camelbak, either by directly connecting to the bladder to squeeze clean water into the bladder (optional kit SP115 Fast Fill Adapters for Hydration Packs required), or by being spliced in-line with the bladder so that the bladder can be filled directly from the water source and the water passed through the filter on the way to the bladder mouth piece (adapter included). The Sawyer Squeeze package contains a syringe for backflushing/cleaning the filter, but based on reviews I ordered the SP150 Coupling for Water Filtration Cleaning and use that in coordination with a bottled water bottle (I used a LIFEWTR bottle) which works extremely well, and provides much better cleaning pressure than the supplied syringe. The $2.99 for the SP150 is well worth the cost given the convenience and functionality it provides, and the repurposed water bottle can double as an extra water container during an outing. For comparison, my companions on the trip were using a GRAYL Ultralight that weighs 16 oz (compared to 3 oz and a much smaller pack size for the Sawyer) and were taking about twice as long to filter the same amount of water, with a much higher ratio of grumbling as well.Pros:⢠Lightweight⢠Packs small⢠Easy to use⢠Quick flow⢠Easy to backflush w/additional coupling⢠Lots of online instructions/documentation available from Sawyer to get maximum utility and performance from the productCons:⢠Supplied bags are rigid, cumbersome to fill, and prone to damage⢠To get maximum utility from the Sawyer Squeeze’s flexibility, optional kits/parts are requiredOverall, I highly recommend the Sawyer Squeeze.

Perfect for Kayak Adventures
I used this water filter on two kayak camping trips over the last year, and it worked great. The filter is easy to use â just fill the squeeze pouch with water from a river or lake, attach the filter, and youâre good to go. The water tasted better than the filtered water I have at home.I like that it allows you to not have to carry jugs of water on your trip. Just dip, squeeze, and be refreshed. The filter seems durable, and Iâm hoping it will last a long time. For anyone who enjoys the outdoors, this is a must-have tool for staying hydrated and healthy.

Great Water Filter, But the Squeeze Pouches Donât Last Long
Iâve been using the Sawyer Squeeze Water Filtration System for a while now, and itâs become one of my go-to filters for camping and hiking trips. Itâs incredibly lightweight and compact, making it easy to toss into a backpack without taking up much space. The filtration itself is top-notch. Itâs rated to filter out 99.99999% of bacteria and 99.9999% of protozoa, which gives me a lot of confidence when using it with water from streams, lakes, rivers, or even questionable rainwater. Itâs reassuring to know I can get clean water without having to worry about harmful contaminants. The system is super easy to use, too. Just fill up one of the included pouches at your water source, screw the filter on, and either drink directly from the filter or squeeze the water into a bottle. The flow rate is pretty decent at 1.7 liters per minute, so I never feel like Iâm waiting too long to get a drink. However, the biggest downside is the durability of the squeeze pouches. Out of the four Iâve used, two didnât last more than five trips before they started to fail. While they worked great initially, I was disappointed to see them wear out so quickly. Luckily, the filter itself is excellent, so even when the pouches wear out, you can still use it with standard water bottles or set it up in a gravity system.Overall, Iâd say this is one of the best water filters Iâve used, especially for the price. Itâs perfect for outdoor adventures where youâre dealing with natural water sources, and itâs lightweight enough for backpacking. The only reason Iâm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the durability of the pouches. If youâre okay with replacing them or using alternative containers, this system is a fantastic choice for clean, safe water on the go.

Não sendo perto de mineração(não filtra metais pesados), o filtro é altamente confiável. Acampamentos, idas a região amazônica ou algo assim, é perfeito para não se contaminar.

This is an excellent filter, as long as you ensure the following:1. Filter water before your trip. This wets the fibres and allows water to flow smoothly. Otherwise slow flow for the first 24h.2. Buy a CNOC vecto bladder instead of the garbage they provide. Works like a charm.3. Donât let it freeze. Otherwise will destroy the filter. Keep at the foot of your sleeping bag if necessary.4. Will filter really filthy water, but that slows the flow considerably. Back flush it after and flow is restored. Can back flush using coupling ring and Smart water bottle see below.5. I use it with a smart water bottle and a coupling ring. Hang the CNOC bag from a branch with the Sawyer attached, screw the coupling ring to the filter and smart water bottle to this. Will get about 1L per 8 minutes or so. Nice work saver.

Alles bestens, habe den Filter auf dem PCT genutzt, nicht ohne Grund nutzen dort ca 99% aller hiker seit Jahren dieses Produkt. Gewicht ok, Säuberung sehr einfach, durchfluss ausreichend!

Used this for a 3 week trek in Nepal last month. Very glad I chose this over the BeFree/alternative options in the end â it’s extremely light to carry in a day pack (and comes with a light drawstring bag to carry the different bits and pieces), filters pretty fast, and most importantly should last a long time with proper care. Note that many other filter options need to be replaced after a certain amount of time, so theoretically this is the more sustainable option.Oh and I didn’t get ill from a multitude of water sources â so the filter most likely did its job!In the UK you can find a few plastic bottles that pair with the Sawyer thread (search Reddit for this if needed). However, I found the plastic pouches that came with the filter to be much more convenient. These roll up flat and take up much less space than a water bottle would in your bag.Highly recommended!
