Making its way onto the new Shimano Deore 12-speed group is the updated Deore BR-M6120 Disc Brake caliper. At the heart of the new M6120 is the high powered four-piston system that offers high stopping power and quick retraction after letting off the levers for excellent modulation and a small and large piston engagement sequence. Smaller pistons engage with the incoming rotor, followed up with larger pistons to handle the larger stopping forces. This reduces rotor wobbling under load and also reduces noise and chatter to help you enjoy the ride instead of fretting over concerning bike noise. The M6120 keeps your lines and your garage cleaner as well with One Way Bleeding tech that, you got it, has one way bleeding to prevent air bubbles from being trapped in your lines, which improves braking feel and safety. Add a funnel tool for easy cleanup too. You’ll also be pleased to see that Shimano’s high-performance ICE Tech is onboard to keep temps under control during extended periods of braking.

Great brakes, poor shipping service
Can’t go wrong with Shimano. Took a little bit to get the pads bedded but after they’re broken in they work awesome. Easy to feather and to completely lock up 1 fingered. I’m using for free ride and DH. Problem was the shipping. Had to return 2 times, shipper kept sending me rear brake sets. it wouldn’t matter if the levers weren’t L or R sided but they are. Other than that no complaints. Amazon finally sent me the correct brake. Still waiting on a refund though.

Really good brakes good for wheeling and everyday rides
These brakes are valid and worth the buck and good for wheeling and everyday riding and the brakes came in bleed with mineral oil in the original box. So far I have been satisfied with these brakes and recommended them to friends

Amazing while they lasted
They hit pretty good especially when i first got them after 6 months of nothing but a change of brake pads they were still good, i cracked one side of the caliper where you tighten it i cracked it went to change my rotor and during breaking in my rotor I check down to my caliper and see that it has been fully cracked and by then it was only holding on by the bolt that tightens it

Great contact point
You canât adjust reach or anything else like that but the contact point on these brakes makes them feel perfect. The power is great for steeps and while at speed. I canât recommend these more. However, I only weigh 120 so they might not be as good for someone a bit heavier. The XT levers have a better feel but I actually prefer these brakes. I think they are way more worth the price.

very good but…
so these are really good and good quality but they take a while to break in. by this i mean that they are either on of off. so i lil squeeze stops the whee completely. so after abt iâd say 10 miles they are great if i could give a 4.9 i would but just because they arenât amazing out of the box

I never thought I would say this about Shimano
Since my package arrived I noticed that all the oil that should have been inside the brake was spread all over the box. I thought no problem, I have Shimano mineral oil, I installed the brakes, bled them as I have always done with Shimano brakes and the brake had no power, I tried one way and another and nothing. Looking more closely I concluded that the problem was in the lever which did not work and cost me almost $110. Have use shimano for years and this is really disappointing.

Desde que cambie los frenos por estos Shimano 4 pistones se nota el cambio en la frenada. Frenan al instante y muerden duro.

Doesnât come as a kit!
Did not come as a kit as described. Came with a lever and caliper only. Have to buy a hose and all accessories in order to make it work. Luckily I had this stuff laying around but was still very annoying to bleed and set the whole thing up
