Love these pedals
Very reliable and durable. I have them on 3 bikes and theyâre bulletproof.

Great Pedals
I average about 1100 miles a year on my gravel bike & these pedals have been great.

A stout pedal
I bought these for my mountain bike. Used them in three races and they have held up great. They have taken a little beating as you can see in the pictures, but they still perform. Mine came with the adjustment mostly tight, so be sure to loosen the adjustment then work your way up. Don’t be like me and do it backwards and end up on the ground with my foot still locked in. I liked this so much, I bought a pair for my Cyclocross bike too.

Comes with Cleats!
We installed these on my mountain bike and they are great! Easy to clip in and out, glad I chose them!

Don’t really notice the cage
Shimano SPD pedals are the gold standard for mountain biking. Took a gamble and went with the M8120 rather than my usual M8100 for my e-bike. The only difference is the extra cage of metal around the front and back of the pedal. Can’t say I really notice it having any effect, good or bad, other than adding a few grams of weight. Still a great pedal.

Probably the easiest clipless set up for new riders
These are probably the easiest clipless pedals to get in and out of. The whole Shimano SPD line in general is wonderful! I would highly recommend using these with the multi-angle exit cleats though. Especially if you are new to clipless pedals and have a full carbon frame!! I crashed attached to my bike a little too hard and it took a gouge out of the rear swingarm. Luckily SantaCruz offers crash replacement but that still cost me $750…. The extra weight of you on the bike when you crash = no good. So make sure you have these set up so your feet can come out pretty easily. Iâd rather I have my feet come out on accident instead of staying stuck in a crash. The only reason I didnât give them five stars is because the backside of one of the cleat mounts snapped off for some reason after only a few weeks of use. Maybe it loosened up a bit and I didnât realize it? So just make sure you check all the pedal bolts for the first couple months, after rides.
