This is my fourth electric mug purchase in my ongoing pursuit of perfection in this category. I take my coffee drinking very seriously – I roast my own beans and I have honed my espresso skills to a fine art. When I make my mug of morning coffee I want it to be hot, very hot from start to finish. I had my very 1st cup of coffee in the summer of 1976 when I got a summer intern job at Hewlett-Packard, they poured it from the engineering coffee pot and in my nervousness didnât realize how hot it was and it burned my tongue, took three days for it to come back to normal. But interestingly ever since then Iâve always desired very hot coffee. this mug caught My eye firstly because of the form factor, I hate short fat mugs, they are hard to grasp and they let all the heat out of the open top and this one had a much skinnier taller profile, was double wall insulated and of course electrically heated. It didnât have very many reviews so I was a bit apprehensive at spending so much money but of course Amazon has a good return policy so there really wasnât much of a risk. Now this has become one of my favorite mugs especially because it holds a legitimate 18 ounces of coffee, realistically 16 to keep it below the rim. In combination with its insulated walls, the heating element keeps the coffee at a very good 145 to 147° from start to finish which is better than the 145° or less for the Ember, Which was my very first electric mug a year or two ago. The quality is top notch, it fits into cupholders which the short fat mugs donât. I havenât run an exhaustive test on the duration of how long it will keep a mug of coffee hot, but in my many weeks of usage now the battery has barely budged during my normal consumption time of 1/2 to one hour for a large mug of coffee. Watch my video review for more quantitative details than you probably would ever want to know, but being an engineer thatâs just the way Iâm wired!

HOT COFFEE!!! Finally!!!
I always have to heat up my coffee in the microwave whenever it cools down. I like to enjoy and sip my coffee, but it cools down before I even get to finish it. This mug REALLY WORKS and it is the perfect temperature for me. I finally get to drink my coffee at my own pace without it ever cooling down. I keep RAVING about it at work ever since I got it (about a week now) and my coworkers say that I’m a really good influencer and asking me what I purchased.However, it states “18 ounce” capacity, but when I brewed 12oz, you don’t have enough room for a lot of liquid creamer. I estimate 14oz max capacity.

A great two in one device
You want to talk about becoming the envy of your office or upgrading your home office to elite like status, this will do it.You can get spoiled really quickly to having your coffee stay at perfect drinking temperature no matter how long your workload forces it to stay sitting on your desk.This takes up very little space and the fact that it can keep my coffee warm, have a cool open and closed lid and it charges my phone. All of these things are luxuries that I love having to keep my day running smoothly. So me and my phone stay fully charged lol.

Self Heating coffee mug
What happens if you only drink hot coffee? Of course a heating pad or insulated coffee cup is essential! Iâm the same way. I used to use a heating pad to keep my mug warm, but it was distorted by my dog this summer before I bought this new one. I chose this insulated cup along with a heating pad so when I need to go out I can take my coffee with me. The heating pad is a good size to fit on my desk without taking up much space. The wireless phone charging speed is decent. I was a bit confused at first when I started using the cup. Adjusting the temperature was easy but I didnât figure out how to turn off the heating mode the first time without reading the instructions. The cup is well made and it has a drinking spout for coffee and hot drinks, just like a regular coffee cup, and it doesnât leak. You can check the battery level anytime, as well as the temperature of the heated coffee inside.

Hot coffee
I like my coffee really hot…well this cup delivers. I have the ember cup and a Therma cup. I really like the therma cup bc it gets it really hot but you can’t take it with you in the car. The ember cup sometimes just loses connection or something. Both of those cups barely hold 10 oz.ProsThis cup is hot, digital display with ability to adjust temp up and down on cup, holds 14 oz easy, and it fits in my car cup holder. I’m in love! Only had it about a month but I’m a daily coffee drinker. The battery has been pleasantly sufficient, especially if you use the lid.Only con wish I could buy another base for work.

Great phone/coffee combo
I got this for my husband who is a cigar/pipe smoker and a big coffee drinker. So he sits outside alot. This was like THE best product for him like EVER. The weather has turned cold now and this thing keeps his coffee hot and his phone charged while sitting outside smoking his cigars.
