Effective Bug Zapper and Beautiful Garden Light in One!
I bought this Solar Bug Zapper Outdoor to help control the mosquitoes in my backyard, and itâs been amazing. Not only does it keep the bugs away, but it also looks great as a decorative garden light! The coverage is just right for my patio area, and Iâve noticed a huge drop in mosquito activity. The fact that itâs solar-powered is a huge plusâI just leave it outside all day, and it lasts well into the evening. If I need to, I can recharge it quickly using the USB-C cable. The automatic on/off feature is super convenient, too. I donât have to think about itâit turns on as soon as it gets dark! The setup was effortless; I just stuck it in the ground by the pool. It’s also nice to know it’s eco-friendly and safe around the kids and pets. Overall, Iâm really happy with this purchase. Itâs made outdoor evenings much more enjoyable!

Clever and useful product
This is a really clever little product, and comes with a lot of flexibility in how you can use it.I was surprised to find multiple pipes to be able to have it at different heights (you get 2, and can connect them to double the height), plus a really good length spike, so it’s solidly planted in the ground. It can also be mounted to the side of a structure (like your home or decking), and comes with the hardware to do that. Based on the photos, that actually looks really good, so I may move it in the summer after learning where it’s best positioned to catch sun rays and bugs. They also include a little brush to clean dead bugs off if any get stuck. There’s also a USB C cable included, as you can charge/power the unit that way if the sun isn’t enough. I brought it inside to charge it up initially, and could see doing this with an outdoor outlet if we were having a BBQ or party or something to be sure it was powered up. Nice option. It turns on automatically as daylight fades, but you can also turn it on manually, like if you’re out during the day and it’s buggy. One thing I liked is that the unit doesn’t make a hum or buzz like I remember the old school bug zappers did when I was growing up (not when they’re zapping, but just in general. This is silent when it isn’t zapping).I did find that the solar panel was loose when I got it, but there’s a simple Philips head screw I tightened in the hinge, and it’s really solid now. It was flopping back down on itself out of the box. That’s a slight QA/attention to detail issue in the manufacturing, but also something I could see loosening occasionally over time. Luckily, it’s easy to adjust, and I may throw some Locktight in there if it becomes an issue. I could easily have seen them building this with a non-serviceable hinge, so I appreciate this approach even if it means it was a little loose when I got. I’d rather have that than one that loosens over time and I can’t do anything but throw out the unit and get something else. The instructions are good and useful, as well.Overall, it’s a nice little unit, and has been good at its job so far.

Cool Idea, Maybe not Enough Oomph IMO
I actually like this thing, or at least, I like what it’s trying to be and do. So, the zapper mounts easily and it charges very well, with minimal sun and will run all night long. However, even on a full-sun day’s charging, and running nice and brightly aside my barn wall, when I get right up on it in the middle of the night, it indeed draws in the insects. However…the only insects getting killed are the most “micro” of the swarm. Every other bug of any substantial size (and by substantial, I mean like a small fly or even an actual mosquito), just bounce all over the “zapper” screen/mesh and just keep coming back for more. Now, it “does” kill some of those super tiny bugs, as I see a small bit of them laying in the bottom area of the zapper each morning. Other than that, most bugs on my homestead, are making fun of this device and just consider it a cool device to come hang around at night time. Sucks too, cuz this is actually a great idea, I just think it’s needs some serious voltage amplification or something; perhaps a larger battery bank and thus, solar panel to charge said larger battery. Anyhow, sadly, I can’t in good conscience recommend this to others.

This is the good creation
I really like how quiet this mosquito zapper is, and the fact that itâs solar-powered is a huge plus! It just needs to sit outside during the day to work all night. We keep it on our deck, and it seems to be the ideal spot. Iâm really impressed with how this solar bug zapper worksâitâs simple to use and gets the job done. It serves as both a mosquito killer and a light. I mainly use it to keep mosquitoes away and occasionally as an emergency light. The lantern function works well, and the zapper is silent, which is a nice change from the usual zaps. It also looks good at night and is very lightweight. Itâs great for places without power outlets because the battery lasts all night. The blue light is pretty dim and uses minimal power, and with its dual power supply, I hardly notice it because it just works so well.
