Be seen, be safer
Iâve gone through a lot of different bike lights over more than 10 years, and have yet to find the perfect, affordable solution for my road bikes. My e-bikeâs handle bars are thicker than my road bike, so, for the heck of it, I tested the front light and it clamped on with no problem; it also securely fits my road bike. These lights are bright! Iâm impressed with how bright the rear light is and how far it can be seen, important when riding on our local country roads. I rarely ride in the dark, but, itâs important to me to have a front light that can be seen in a driverâs rear view mirror, again, on our country roads. Sometimes, all you can see in the fog is a cyclistâs front light flashing.Bonus: the lights are rechargeable, no wasteful batteries. The front light can be used as a charging bank, which would have been very useful when my sports watch battery died on a long ride! The only downside for me is that the lights must be controlled individually, rather than connected to each other so that the front light turns both on and off.Overall, multi-functional is more than I need, but can be useful, and itâs really all about being seen on the road.

Easy Tool Free Installation – Bright Headlight
I am happy to have this headlight for my ebike to improve safety at dusk. I don’t ride at night myself, but I did go outside and test the lights in the dark, and I am happy with the brightness. What I sometimes do is ride around dusk, since the traffic is lighter in my neighborhood and I can still see well. But I was worried cars might not see me, even though my bike has multiple reflectors preinstalled by the manufacturer. So I chose this light set to improve my visibility. The headlight has multiple brightness settings, and doubles as an emergency power bank for your phone. The taillight has multiple settings, and flashes to draw attention to you so you are seen by the cars on the road. The lights are easy to install and easy to charge. The headlight has a quick release so it is secure when in use, but it can easily be removed and used as a flashlight when you reach your destination. The USB port covers are more secure than average, and I think they will do a good job keeping moisture out of my lights.

The headlight is great, the taillight is ok
This comes as a set, with a headlight, taillight, mounting brackets for both lights, two (2) USB cords and an instruction booklet. Both lights are rechargeable, so that totally eliminates the need for battery replacement.I ordered this set because I really needed a headlight for my “ride around the neighborhood” bike, now that it gets dark early. The good news is that the headlight is a great piece. It’s got a metal body and feels substantial. The mounting bracket is one of those that clamps in place on the handlebars, so you can remove the light and leave the bracket in place. The light has a readout on top, which shows you the battery charge (0-100). Operation of the light is simple, via a rubber covered push switch on the back. There are multiple light levels and also flashing modes. The bright mode does a great job of lighting up the road, and the lower modes are great for conserving charge on longer rides. The flashing modes work well. The manufacturer claims you can get 1.5 hours of light on the brightest setting, but I haven’t tested that yet. The headlight seems to charge pretty quickly, and can also act as a power bank for your phone or tablet, which is handy. The taillight, while it works, is not as nice. It is made largely of plastic and has a rubber band type attachment system. You can only adjust it up and down, and it simply clicks into place. There are no set screws holding that adjustment, so it’s easy to knock it out of alignment. The upside is that the LEDs are bright and clear and the flashing patterns are effective. It’s also pretty small, so it might not be the best choice for folks who bike at night on busy roads. I think it would work great as a backup with a bigger, brighter taillight. The headlight is definitely the winner in this set, so it’s worth considering this for recreational riding on back roads or bike paths.

Good value
Iâve always had bike lights that required batteries which never lasted very long or they stopped working completely because of battery leakage and erosion. So, I decided to give this LED light set a try since I will soon be taking the Route of the Hiawatha ride which has several long dark tunnels to ride through. The installation of the front light was very easy using the bracket with a thumb screw which made the install and removal very simple. The rear light is very bright with 4 modes and was also very easy to install with a rubber strap that fits around the seat post. Both worked right out of the box with a 100% charge and both are still going strong. Set comes with two charging cords and to my surprise, the front light will even charge your phone or other items. The various light settings and quality of these lights make me feel more secure and safe for my upcoming trip and future night rides.
