Helpful pillow angle for both my acid reflux and for my husband’s sleep apnea
I purchased our first of these pillows in hopes that it would help reduce the number of pillows I use to prop myself up (while sleeping) to reduce the symptoms of acid reflux. I discovered that it worked best for me if I use it at the lower angle (though I use the taller angle when I am sitting up in bed reading.) It so well for me, I now use it and only a down pillow instead of the five I used before. The down pillow helps support my neck while the wedge pillow does all the major work of propping me up.My husband has sleep apnea and uses a cpap machine for sleeping. He also likes to be propped up slightly in bed. When he saw how well this pillow worked for me, we decided to buy a second one for him. It also works great though he uses a polyester fill pillow with his as well. It helps support his head in the proper position while the wedge provides the lift he wants.We liked these pillows so much, we decided to purchase a third one to keep in our guest room. That way guests can try it when they come to visit and see if it works as well for them.The pillow is firm with a soft layer of memory foam. It is covered by a removable cover which is similar to a high quality mattress pad. We are able to use two of them on a regular King size bed with a gap of about two feet in between the two. We could (and may) fit a third one in the gap to have a complete wedge across the top of the bed.Since starting to use this pillow (about two months now), I have stopped having restless and disturbed nights. I sleep pretty much straight through the night where before I woke several times a night with an upset stomach. The only change has been this pillow so I am really thankful to have found an easy, comfortable and affordable solution to my issue.

COMFORTABLE and Firm enough for its stated use.
Though I ultimately gave this to someone else even though I bought it for myself recently (November 2019) , it was amazingly well packed and arrived in excellent condition (it’s folded into a clear plastic sort of tubular package-but unfolds and is perfect once you get it out of its package-it’s packed so tightly you need to use a pair of scissors!). I can’t use it because I have a bad back and how I get into bed made this impossible to use and I was very unhappy having to give it away (but the person who GOT it was very happy!). It is firm but soft, the picture is sort of deceptive- its better than the pictures! -It’s about 20 inches long or more -and about 3/4 that in width. (actual dimensions are given on it, this is just my lazy man’s way of saying it was big and trying to give you an estimate). It was very comfortable the one time I could use – but for me with my injury- I couldn’t KEEP using it – as my back in getting into bed – doesn’t allow me the ability to lift myself very easily and although this is just an inch high at the lowest end, it is unfortunately for me – a half inch too high! I found something else -and I’m happy, but this item is really worth the money and I felt I should say something here to other potential buyers, and I’m giving it 5 stars.

Nice angled pillow
I like this pillow very much. It is nice and soft, but firm enough that you don’t just squish down. I wish the cover didn’t look so much like a mattress, but more like a pillowcase. I may end up sewing one of my own that isn’t white. It isn’t small. It is two feet wide so it doesn’t really fit on a couch well (I thought it would be nice there for reading.) It does work, but it reaches past the edge of the couch. The bottom is angled so when it sits, the pointy part of the triangle (sorry, geometry people!) sits straight up, perfect for leaning against a headboard of a bed. It doesn’t really stay up without anything in the back, so don’t plan on it sitting there on the floor to lean on without something supporting it from behind. I think from (my imprecise) measurements the angle of reclining flat is about 27 degrees and sitting up it is about 67. I don’t know if that matters, but it is closer to lying flat than sitting up straight when you have it lying down. (45 degrees would be halfway.) And the back (short edge of the triangle) isn’t angled enough that flipping it over gives you much of a different angle. So it really seems to have two positions, sitting up and lying down.I do find myself putting another pillow under my head to lie and read on it, but that is my preference. My son likes flat on the floor for watching movies. My goofy cat loves to sleep on, too and she only begrudgingly moves when I lift her off. They should make mini ones like this for pets! She does seem to like the angle because she doesn’t sleep on my regular memory foam pillow!The only thing I didn’t like was opening it. It comes in a very nice, duffle-shaped zipper bag. It is compressed in there to make it easy to ship and carry. Except the zipper on the bag in on the end. I had a heck of a time peeling off the bag from the wanting-to-puff-up pillow.. I felt like I was trying to squeeze off a much much much too tight bathing suit! I think it took me like 5 minutes to get it out.You have to peel a little, spin it, peel a little, spin it, etc. etc. Mine did not just slide right out. If you have trouble with your fingers, just sacrifice the bag carefully with scissors. You aren’t ever gonna get this thing back in it anyway (and let’s face it, you will probably never use that bag again anyway! ha ha!! I am a saver so I got mine out..so I understand not wanting to cut it.) It would be much easier if the zipper on the bag went horizontally across it rather than around the top circle. Pillow is awesome…unpacking it is a little harder.EDIT: I didn’t like that the only included cover was white, like a mattress pad. I wanted a pillowcase for it, but didn’t know what what fit, so I just used some leftover material I had and made one. It is nicer to look at now, and the case can zip off to clean (I left the white one underneath because it had a nice texture.) I also added a handle to the case so I can move it around much easier with one hand. I attached a photo so you can see it. It is pretty simple. I almost put on something satiny so it would be cool, but I worried I would keep sliding down off of it! ha ha!! So I picked something with a little texture. Someone with better skills and lots of time could make it prettier with welting or something.

A big disappointment.
I bought this because I had GERD and can’t lie flat. It was to replace another wedge pillow that I have had for many years. This one is very well made, and I am sure it will last a long time. It is a good height for sleeping and helping to keep GERD at bay, and it is great for reading in bed if in the upright position. The reason I gave it a 3, is because the bottom edge is just too high! It should be much more tapered down and thinner to be comfortable. I will try to find a way to make it feel better, like putting a blanket or something over it, but so far I can’t sleep with it.

It saddens me to return this product! I want to tout just how awesome the quality, comfort, and support this wedge provided, but it turned out to be way too high for sleeping on nightly. I tried to get used to it but 12″ is just to high. I’m a smaller person at 5’6 @120lbs and I think I need just a few inches lower. I wish you offered a 8-10″ option. Alas, if you require a higher wedge, this is the pillow to choose – you won’t be disappointed. The foam is exceptional quality and it took its full shape only after a few hours after removing it from its packaging. The cover is very soft and pleasing to the eye, and was also easy to remove for laundering. Back it goes, and back I go on the search for the perfect wedge.

This product was good however I had hoped it would have a bit more give to it. It seems rather hard and stiff and I needed it for sleeping after an operation. But it was a bit too unyielding for me and it took several more months of recovery before I could use it as intended.So if youâre looking for big solid support, this is for you but if you need something with a bit more give to it, then maybe this wonât work for you. Maybe a memory foam cover would be an improvement as then the customer could have a choice of softer or more supportive.Overall good quality and nice soft fabric, it has multiple uses and ways to turn it for legs and knees or upper body.Happy with purchase generally.

The pillow is very comfortable, not too soft and not too firm, and has a great level of elevation to alleviate reflux symptoms. It’s also an excellent reading pillow when turned upright.I did not buy with the intent to use this pillow while travelling but since that is in the rating score categories I’ll comment on that:The carrying case came with quite a few tears, rendering it unusable in the future. But besides that, I can’t imagine using this as a travel pillow due to the size the difficulty of compressing it down (it was hard to get out of the case, never mind trying to get it back in) but it’s perfect for use in your home.
