Product Description
PLEASE CHECK THE PRODUCT PARAMETERS CAREFULLY:
The real output is different from the nominal maximum output. The nominal maximum output (rated output) is measured under the STC (Standard Test Conditions, the world-recognized standard test conditions for ground-mounted solar panels or modules). If your test device does not meet this requirement, the results measured may vary greatly.
The rated output power of the USB port:
USB-A Output: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A MAX;
USB-C Output: 5V/3A, 9V/2.2A, 12V/1.6A MAX;
DC 5525 Output: 18.2V/1.6A MAX.
Total Output: Up to a maximum 30W.
The real output of the solar panel depends on a variety of factors, including season, temperature, angle of placement and cloud cover, etc. The product output power decreases when the solar radiation intensity becomes low. The output power and charging efficiency return to normal when the radiation intensity becomes normal.
This portable solar panel can’t store electricity.

Great purchase for the money.
I have been using this Big Blue solar charger for a couple of weeks now and it performs very well. It puts out a ton of power and recharges my large power brick very quickly. I could easily charge both my wife’s and my phone off this every night and we have large folding phones so they use a lot of energy. This even produces good power on cloudy days which is something that I did not expect. This is a perfect panel to bring while out camping or to leave in your vehicle as an emergency charger because it will also charge up your car’s battery. I could also see this as a nice-sized panel to charge up a solar generator while off-grid. It’s on the heavy side, but built well and performs very well. It’s a keeper!

I know BigBlue makes good products, but WOW!!
All the following items, used in this review, were purchased on Amazon: BigBlue SolarPowa 30 Folding Solar Charger (Smart IC Chip Charging Controller), JSAUX 100-watt USB-C to USB-C Cable (6-ft length), Portable Power Bank PB-08 PD22.5W (20Ah @ 3.7V) (74Wh), and a Toptes TS-710 Digital Light Meter.Local Weather Conditions on June 14, 2024 (3:15pm to 5:15pm): Clear skies, 95° F (35° C), Relative Humidity 40%, and a light breeze from the west. Digital Light Meter reading (averaged) taken at the beginning of, and during, the solar charging process: 148,000 Lux (13749.6499 Foot Candles).I drained my 20Ah power bank to a DoD (Depth of Discharge) of 65% for this test, with just 35% of the power bank capacity remaining. Once I had the solar panel set up and perpendicular to the sun, I connected the battery pack at 3:15pm. The power bank immediately recognized the input connection and started the charging process. From time to time, I would re-adjust the solar panel, to ensure that it stayed close to perpendicular to the sun. To compensate for the heat of the day, I placed the solar panel on the grass and I kept the power bank on the shaded, cool, concrete/stone walkway. At 5:15pm, exactly 2 hours later, my power bank hit 100% and charging stopped.Footprint Hero’s Solar Charge Time Calculator predicted 2.1 hours of âpeak sunâ would be needed to charge a 20Ah power bank from 35% back up to 100%, using a 30-watt solar panel and a very efficient MPPT solar charge controller. Based on my own observations and test results, it would seem that the SolarPowa 30’s Smart IC Chip charge controller is on par with the performance characteristics of a MPPT controller, at least in a âFull Sunâ scenario. YMMV.**Full Disclosure: I have NO financial interest in BigBlue Energy (HK) Limited (investments, employment, paid-endorsements, etc) and I paid for this solar charger, along with all the other items in this review, with my own money.Overall, I am very satified with my purchase. I look forward to getting many years of trouble-free service from this solar charger, especially when my wife and I are out camping and need a dependable way to charge our battery banks and other rechargeable camping equipment.Product Links:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYDM6B33?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GZH2WTV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CNG2QML3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3LTSJBB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Good power from the Sun?
Just got this panel. Impressed with the build.I ordered a volt/amp usb reader which is a must. Went out at sun rise and plugged my inreach and got 5V-0.44 amps output II. Then at 10:00 I tried with my old iphone 6s same result. Tried my Samsung 23 Ultra, same result. Thought gonna return. Then I tried the meter in an outlet and got same reading from the after market cords I was using. Exchanged the cord on the Samsung to OEM usb and got 5v2a on Outet II. On outlet II, i put the OEM fast charge usb-c and got 9v2a from wall outlet. Used that cord with panels and got 5v2a at start then it auto switched to 9v2a at noon on Outlet II. Will check morning charge but now happy. You need the right cord and a meter. BTW, so far if you walk into the shade and amp drops <1 amp then go back into full sun, panel did not return to 9v2a. I had to unplug and plug it in again to get that back minor inconvenience. Keeping them now.Update: This panel does reset itself when going from shade to full sun!

Improved Velcro leg design
**Update December 2024**Took these on another two trips this year, out Midwest for the Eclipse in Vincennes, IN, through central Northern states to Wyoming for Devils Tower and back through SD, ND, and MN. Visibly showing signs of use, but consistently bring in 75-83 watts per panel. Still get 50-60 watts per panel laid flat when windy in bright sunlight. Very versatile, I love these panels. Came in very handy at relativesâ houses running fridges, freezers, and making coffee during Helene aftermath power outage in SC. Still using in conjunction with glass panels as the strengths and weaknesses complement each other.**Update July 2023**Used these alongside the glass DIY suitcase in the Southwest desert camping areas for 6 months, and they performed very well. Consistently brought in 70-80 watts each, even when getting very hot in the sun. Found out early on not to leave them up on the stands if any wind gusts can happen. The first day using them was in 30 MPH gusts and both got some gashes in the ETFE from the desert rocks after they were blown onto their faces. (Did not affect performance in any perceptible way.) This is where the glass DIY suitcase panel outperformed, but only because I could stack 20 or more pounds of rocks on the legs to avoid movement in high winds. Learned how to stack rocks on these flexible panels to allow use in 20-25 MPH winds regularly, and found I could keep them flat on the ground for crazy windy days. Since these are lighter, and easier to set up and repack in the car than the glass panel, I found myself relying on these much more often. Very impressed with the durability and ease of use.**Original Review**24 volt version. Use only with MPPT if not using with BigBlue solar generator. If using PWM, get the 12V version. Competes very well with 2 Glass 50 watt panels in series. Pictures show wattage for each, and then swapped the charge controllers for reference. Much lighter than glass panels but will get blown over in desert wind. New leg design has strap management and Velcro instead of snaps. Very nice portable panel. Will update review after heavy use.
