Get Fit While You Sit!
I love this under-desk elliptical! It’s the perfect way to get some exercise while I’m working at my computer. It’s super quiet, so I don’t have to worry about disturbing my coworkers, and it’s really easy to use. I can adjust the resistance to get a good workout, and it’s small enough to fit under my desk without taking up too much space. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay active while they work!

Quiet, not silent
Got this to allow me to sit at my computer and perhaps do some toning on my calves and thighs. We’ll see about that, but here is the first impression.One. It does come assembled…mostly. You will need to put in a power cord and run the included bands with velcro around the step pads. It also has a sheet of anti-slip rubber matting if you are placing a hardwood or other solid surface floor. Probably note needed if you have a carpet.Two. The remote does indeed *NOT* come with a freaking battery. I hadn’t seen that when I ordered, and its a dumb decision on their part considering they included a plastic pull tab in the remote, just like if they had included the battery! I was convinced the remote was dead till I pried the battery slot tray out…..which is a LOT harder than that sounds. One broken thumbnail later, I discovered the missing sport for a battery. I luckily had a spare CR2032 handy and it worked fine. There is some odd hole at the bottom of the remote, and at first I thought that was where the IR emitter was. I finally found that its at the end you would expect and was able to use the remote with the machine. Since this was the entire reason I was interested, this process did cost them a star for not including the battery with the unit make it truly plug and play out of the box.In use I discovered that the ad copy pictures show every model seated at a non-rolling chair. There is a good reason for that, you will end up sliding backwards otherwise as you try to get into the rhythm of the machine. I also had not yet put on the foot bands, so that may help on my next workout.The noise level is indeed quiet, but it is by no means “silent” which the ad copy seems to imply. You are not going to impede conversations or television etc., but words mean things and if you toss “silent” around then it better be actually silent.The remote stows in the front of the machine for storage between use, but I also noted that this is a power leech – even if you select to power down the unit the red LED lights stay active. There is no need to keep this on mains power 24/7 so power *off* should be power *off*.This also comes with a couple of hand grips similar to ski grips on bungee cords that you could clip to the foot bands if you want to have a big of resistance training in your arms at the same time. I’m personally not going to do that, as its just a gimmicky addition to a machine that does what its supposed to for your legs.All quibbles aside, it seems like it has a lot of potential with multiple speeds, opposable direction, and preprogrammed and free use modes to allow for quite a bit of use before it turns into another tech gadget/sports equipment that hides under the desk/bed/closet. Can recommend with the proviso that you have button batteries on hand or delivered with it.

Motarized Elliptical is Great for Seniors
This Under Desk Elliptical by Zakle is completely motorized making it great for seniors or anyone else that needs some assistance with movement. I ordered this elliptical for my aunt. She needs to exercise but sheâs recuperating so this elliptical is perfect. The machine arrives assembled, only the electrical cord needs to be attached, which couldnât be easier. The variable speeds, dual directions and remote control give this machine more options than other under-desk elliptical machines. It is very quiet when in use, though not totally silent. The motorized elliptical offers varying degrees of movement for the muscles of the hips, thighs and calves. It has worked out very well for my aunt.

Very Quiet And Gets The Blood Flowing, And It DOES Work Under The Desk
I got this to help combat the mild swelling I get in my feet and ankles from sitting at my desk for extended periods. It seems to do that very well. Each rotation provides a few degrees of flexion in the hips, knees, and ankles, and some very light stretching of the muscles and tendons. I don’t expect it is going to do anything to build or tighten muscle, as it is entirely passive when in auto mode. Which was kind of the point for me.I have tried other seated exercisers similar to this one, but they haven’t worked for my needs because they impose too much up-and-down movement and make my knees bang my desk, or require so much leg movement that I cannot do other things while using the exerciser. This one does not have those problems–I can easily sit at my desk and type (doing it now!) while getting the blood flowing in my lower extremities.It is quiet, the motion is smooth, and it seems altogether ideal for my needs.The instruction book lacks descriptions of the various modes. There are 12 of them, and without going through the cycle there’s no way to know what each one does. I only know that P1 gives me 15 minutes of warm up, high-speed exercise, and cool down. I’ll experiment with the other modes later.Would have been nice if they’d included a battery in the remote.I didn’t even know that there were foot straps. I haven’t needed them so far, and may not bother with them.Altogether, this seems to be a good unit to keep your legs moving while you’re stuck at your desk. Does it quietly, and in a way that lets you actually work while you’re using it.Very happy so far. I hope it lasts a long time.

Pedal cycler for seniors
Although this elliptical pedal cycler does not come with the battery for the remote, it turns on when you plug it in and you can turn it off by unplugging it. On level 1 the cycling is smooth. When cycling at higher speeds your feet move around slightly but they don’t come off the pedals. The holder for the remote sits a little loosely but there is a magnet to keep it in place. It is pretty good overall and my older aunt looks forward to using it when she watches television.
