Haven’t had time to cast it in the water yet. but I played with it for about 30 minutes in the yard!Casting is nice, Button to hold the line down the line, And release to cast! That’s new for me. Im old school. i hold the string with one finger and let go to cast! I like the button1Came packaged in retail packaging so you know its new! Comes pre strung with 10lb line as advertised, Which is nice!The only thing i didn’t like is that there’s no space to put your fingers to hold around the reel, That’s kinda annoying, It could be partly because Im left handed, With this being a right hand reel. Ive actuality never used a left hand reel!Overall great product for $9!

Cheap but works
I’ve had zebco reels since I was 5 years old and I’ve always loved them for a backup rod or a canoe rod but I this one is real cheap quality, I figured they were just on sale super cheap but looks like they’re just cutting costs to make easy sales and you can tell, whole thing rattles and feels loosly slapped together right out of the package, however it works fine enough for my wife to use for a live bait setup I guess

Cheap but mighty!
I have to be honest, I wasnt expecting much when I purchased this. Only because it was cheaper than most, but I was desperate to get one for my son.He ended up putting this on his pole to head out and fish for a couple days and the pictures he was sending of the large mouth bass were amazing! He said the reel gave him no issues and reeled in the bass like it was nothing!Save some money and get a good reel!

For 15 dollars it is a pretty good reel. You can take the back cover off for servicing the gear drive if needed ( youtube). It looks and feels pretty sturdy, I have not used it yet , Iam sure it will work as intended. I plan to keep this in my truck along with a pack rod , for the times that I happen to find some hot fishing in my travels. All in all not a bad reel for a low cost.

There are those who put this reel down. This year I with the HWWA will host over 350 kids throughout the month of May and first 2 weeks of June. My principal reel Zebco 202 is cost efficient, kid tough and after 10 plus years doing Learn 2 Fish I keep going back to this reel. Yes it does not have a lot of “grown up features” so what,you want something better, pay the price. I also use Zebco 33’s but if for some reason a 202 breaks or somehow gets lost, it does not break the bank. Kids especially ages 9 to 14 boys or girls get super excited catching a fish usually resulting in a group huddle of sorts, rods on the ground mud in the gears etc etc. I have a few 202’s that the HWWA has been using for over 10yrs. This order of 5 202’s is to add on to our collection of 26 giving us 30 ready to go. At $16 each I get what I have always gotten from Zebco a decent entry level tough reel easy to maintain kid friendly, what more do I need.HWWA ….. Where Education Meets the Great Outdoors.
