Great rod and reel
Great rod and reel for the price. I just started fishing from a kayak and the simplicity of this reel helps. Can fit it anywhere. It’s a little hesitant when reeling, especially with a bigger fish. Reel rate is a little low but for the price and convenience you can’t beat it. Great for kids to step up to as they grow. The rod is awesome. Nice action and telescoping feature is well worth the price.

Strong fishing pole and reel. Very convenient. I also bought a yoga mat bag to keep all my tackle and reel combos in. Reel is smooth and rod sets up and breaks down easy. Hurry up and buy this!

This is a good rod/reel combo. I havenât used a spin cast in almost 30 years. These days itâs mostly bait casters and spinning rods. Itâs fun to fish with the Zebco once you get used to it. When this rod is in its travel configuration, itâs very short and fits nicely in my back pack. Itâs comfortable to use and the grip is just long enough. The reel is a great value. The rod is pretty good, but the very last section has no backbone at all. Iâve caught small pan fish on this rod and itâs a heck of a fight. Great rod to have in the truck for those âemergencyâ fishing trips.

Must have for camping and survival
This little fishing rod and reel is amazing for impromptu fishing, or while camping! No issues so far with it and have used it dozens of times already. I plan on buying another to keep with my SHTF gear since it’s so compact and reliable; and keeping this one with my normal fishing gear. The perfect sidekick pole for using two poles during the normal fishing seasons.Have always loved Zebco’s products, and even though I MUCH prefer the older products before they changed manufacturing and sourcing materials, the newer ones still match up with the big brands. BTW, if you’re a history buff, you’ll love looking into the history of Zebco from their inception.

Super portable and casts well
Very, very happy with the Zepko rod and reel set. Very surprised at how well it cast and also how small it is when shut down. We keep a set of them in our camper, along with a little bit of bait and tackle for impromptu fishing trips.

The rod is great, the reel…….not so great
I really like the telescopic rod a lot, compared to my other telescopic rod (a cheap Ozark trail rod, not bad but a bit too filmsy) its got a good balance of being sturdy with a little bit of play, so you can tell the difference a bit better whether or not you’re hitting the bottom of a river/lake or if you’re getting a bite from a fish. The reel tho……kinda sucks. The lip around the spool release is roughly the same dimension of the spool itself, so occasionally the line will catch that lip and get stuck, I find it doesn’t effect the casting as much but if im fishing deep water and i want a little bit of line to go before i engage my bail, its a little annoying. I also find it effects respooling, as it caused a tapering effect on the spool when i respooled it. Also the anti-reverse switch is very tiny and kinda difficult to engage, i don’t even have big fingers and i find it a bit of a hassle to engage.

Die Rute an sich ist ok aber die Rolle ist Mist. Es fängt mit der Lagerung an und hört bei den Mitnehmern auf. Diese beschädigen, nach 10x Auswerfen, die Schnur so extrem, sodass ein Abriss vorprogrammiert ist. Lieber eine stationäre Rolle nutzen!

I have used for the first 2 days of fishing season here in Ireland on the local river . It was flawless . The only gripe i have is the 10lb line it came with . It had to be stretched for a few hours to get rid of the memory + twists . With that done it is now a perfect take anywhere setup that doesn’t take up much space and casts well
